Did you replace the thermal paste when you replaced the old with the new one?

This sound very familiar to me. Most of the Xboxes I had here for repair sounded like that at low fan speed. Doesn't matter if they ware Fat/Slim. Never had the new E version tough. Most of the time the sound went away after the Xbox generate more heat and the fans went to an higher RPM.

But as far as I know this noise is normal. And it seems to be confirmed because you have an whole new console as replacement.

Better not void your warranty to replace an fan. The fan unit in the new E versions is indeed the same as the slim so I'm pretty sure there are thalismoon replacement fans. But its not recommend to void your 3year warranty just because of the fan noise. better do it after that. and turn up the volume or use an headphone in the meantime. Because you never know how long your unit will last.

I agree with TimelessNL. If your system is still in warranty, don't do anything. keep it till warranty expires. Then you can do any mod you like. And yes, talismoon fans are better than stock ones. Better airflow and less noise (not in turbo mode).
