Dead Wifi Adapters After Trying To Internalize Them

My advice ... maybe

If the device takes 1.5 volt - and you are feeding it 5v  ... that might be too much.  Maybe you have surged the device.

I can understand your ambition to this mod - but why do it at all.  Just to move the device a few inches ?

Thanks for the reply. This mod is part of a more ambitious project. Sorry for the confusion, I meant a single 5v rail, not a 1.5v solder point. I fed it the appropriate voltage.
