Hey Guys Great forum and sorry if this is in the wrong place ( i looked for category but this was only i could see ), im about to start repairing xboxes and i have loads of info already down from this place including the error codes , ive set budget to buy a reball pack and a bga rework station , im thinking i want hot air and ir for boths benefits , im thinking bauer ir pro scc v4 as one or two of my mates online have and always recommend this to me and i want a station not made by chinese , but ive not seen it work in real life , does anyone here have one ?

also do you guys recommend amtech or kingbo flux for reworking xboxes ?
only going to reflowing at first but will start reballing once ive found my feet

I didn't see it too, but i think that bottom IR is too small...

I would recommend for you some jovy station. 7500 is good but bottom ir could be a bit larger. There is jovy 8500, I didn't see it but from my expirience, this will be very good.

If you will set up it correctly, reflow should be enough.

For this I can recommend Jovy flux too.. Totaly "no clean", and it's doing right job

This is an awesome piece of kit, HUGE pre heater with upper and lower hot air.

Ive had one of these for about 13 months now and know a lot of other repairers that also use this. 8 mins to do a reflow

just so u know, there is no fixing a 360, just turning its rrod off long enough to collect peoples money. ever since the slims came out and refurb jaspers started selling for 100, it no longer makes economic sense to temporarily repair what can be replaced for the same price.

Recently I have decided to start a legimate business with expensive BGA equipment that can rework all mainboards, including server, laptops, desktop, consoles... having that in mind I look for the best BGA rework station for the tast, that can use automation thru embedded PC (or external). I just want to minimize losses after application and improve quality of service as maximum as possible. Do you have any recommendations? I am thinking of the Shuttle Star RW-E500A. I need your comments guys.

I am aware of the T-862++ but I am targeting a Pro model.

shuttle stars work well, BUT they are very hard to set up even pros have a hard time with them

If you think is not so user friendly, which brand and model would you recommend at this product level? Something better than ACHI IR Pro.

What did you get?

I have been using shuttlestar 400c since 2010. LOVE IT! It works.... All the time...

I stared back in 2008 with a griddle and a aoyue 986 and changed the world! Ha ha! they said it could not be done. They were wrong hahahahaha... (Insane laughter)

Seriously, shuttle star is excellent. Not the best, but you don' t have 100 grand to spend anyway. Lol! Contact them directly. I got my 400c for 2100 US plus shipping.

Oh ya screw the hater mods....

I have decided to go for the Shuttlestar PS400 or SV550. Also there is the RW-E6250 but I think PS400 or SV550 are more affordable. Did you manage to setup the profiles easily?
