Jtag Jasper Nic Issues
« on: November 18, 2012, 06:59:00 AM »

One of my Jasper JTAG machines has an odd issue with it's network connection. At startup it almost always has no link (xbox and router say they don't have a physical connection, cable unplugged). After a while, the connection starts to work and then keeps on working until I reboot.

I already tested network cable etc and all is fine, the xbox is the one causing the issue (swapped xboxes too and the other xbox works fine in the same environment). I was wondering if this is a hardware issue or if this might be caused by software? At first I thought it must be a hardware issue and that the NIC might be defective and needed to get warm to start working but that doesn't explain why it stops working again immediately after a reboot. Is there a way Freeboot might be causing this? And how do I load a completely fresh Freeboot to check if that helps? Do I just flash it again with flash360 and select it to overwrite the keyvault and config?

Hope anyone recognizes this issue.
