Not Able To Play Movies With Hd Dvd Attachment

I recently bought a RGH from a member on the forums, but the system doesn't want to play anything from the USB attached HD DVD drive.  There is no option on the freestyle dash to play movies from the HD DVD and when I am able to navigate to the regular Xbox 360 dashboard and click on the HD DVD drive icon it just kicks me back to the freestyle dash.

Does anyone know how to get a RGH xbox 360 to recognize and play movies from the HD DVD?
