Is There A Cheap Component To Create Rapid Fire? Need The 'a'
« on: October 24, 2012, 07:19:00 PM »

My rapid fire controller bombed out on me when I pulled the dust off it and took the wire from the trigger to button 'A'. I don't have any PIC or AVR chips I can find (Have no idea where I put them). So is there a simple component I can put between the vcc and ground of the 'A' button that doesn't require any programming of anything?

What I have tried is to use the old Matrix style controller to pull this off (where you wire up the ground from a active LED), that did not work. The menu bug out (Somehow it seemed to press the LB button a few times) and by keeping it shorted there was no rapid fire function present anyways. It still worked on the trigger, but not the 'A' button.

If all fails I'll order some AVR/PIC iC's and fire up my Dragon/Olimex using any of the files available from here.

Btw, I'm shooting for about 7 presses a second. Six, five, or even four would work too...Ok I'll settle for 2 (I'm desperate :-).
