Is this for the Xbox1 or the 360.

Well, Fusion is a modified Kernel based on the 360 DevKit from what I have read, it only makes sense that this is  for XBOX1. Seriously think about things before saying or doing.

The reason for that is, if I remember correctly, that they told microsoft about the exploit first.
To let them patch the system, before it was released publicly.

yes, they did not release until later, but they did show it at CCC, or somewhere like that, a few months earlier

That's all flash file modification nothing new to me as the custom boot anims were the only thing i really set out to achieve on the 360.

The only things that stand out to me is the cool dvd pair function along with that suspicious "KV generator" for PNET. I'll have to admit this all does feel more like the xbox1 days and there is no complaints in this area Whatsoever!

I can see a collaboration of different methods, different modifications, All used in order to create Fusion, But without the scene I don't see happy days for you all achieving full control over the xbox all in one Dashboard..
ehem.. Not to mention,  atm, Fusion is the 13xxx dashboard with added features.

To give a pointer to those who may not know, The "king kong exploit" A game which had a vuln in the way it saved, was demonstrated before a few members of M$.
originally dating back to 2006 as being -worked on. Once word got out in 07' the demonstration was preformed and the scene began to grow more & more towards the jtag method the way they are today.

Most of this has always been potential untapped and nothing was stopping anyone from messing with the kernal/bootloaders since the exploit.
However the main issue that I've always seemed to be angry with is KNOWING about something with substantial possibilities of advancing the scene in regards to kernal/DEV modifications, But never having or being given the resources to do said hacks in the first place.
Then forever later seeing those resources leaked as if it was highly secrete in the first place and should have been public from the git go, imo.

Given people out there are not ready to access PNET responsibly that is understandable with reason.

My point is "we all had the potential of being where we are now 5 years ago with the method of turning a retail console into a devkit."

Can't wait! I got into modding primarily after all the Xbox1 custom kernel stuff, so I never got to experience that first hand. Trying this out will be awesome.

So that's where all the homebrew development went eh? Good on them, I just hope they don't try to lock it to their HW (as that would be sad and bad for everyone) But good on them, good to see them get back towards their roots, mind you in those days do everything almost from scratch was a much easier task (hence the numerous clones that followed) So good on them, for getting back to their roots of open-development!

+1

that was the only way to mod the xbox1, the dvd drive flashes came out in like 2005 with xbox live support - which lead to the '360' hack everyone as it was touted 'live-safe' (I doubt anyone got away with one xbox for this without being banned since 2005 however)

This is freaking awesome! I wonder tho, are we going back to 29-wire (or more in this case) Xbox 1 days? or are we going back to 11 wire Xbox 1 days?

I'd like to know if this can run Lix homebrew (e.g. PCSXR) and not just XDK stuff. This would be nice as it would remove the need for the XellLoader.

Custom boot screen sounds awsome, i never tought the 'good old days' would be back.

I swear, the stupid things that people get excited about.  "Forget playing a game, let's see that Ana Beatriz Barros boot screen again."

Dash Launch 2.32
----------------

It's been a long fun road full of headaches and cheers, and I'm glad you all
joined me on this journey. 2.32 marks the end of my work on this project as
well as bringing fast patch updates for new versions to other projects now that
the expert-tease of 3rd party product providers steps up to provide... well
that remains to be seen, but look to them when the next update rolls out.

Just a little bonus, its not documented elsewhere but was being worked on as
the next feature, and as it stands it is incomplete. fakelive=true, see what
happens when you use a live account to start an app. There, that is my expert-
tease to punctuate the last 2.5 years of work, and I didn't even try to sell
you a damned thing wink.gif

Make of it what you will, but he sounds just a little bitter to me.

if the demon is required it will probably be because they have used a cygnos style SMC kinda like the Pre XBR days.. i can't wait to see it but it should not be locked to the demon and even if it is just give the people some time Freeboot used to be cygnos only too and look what happened they released a single nand option and bam no more cygnos chips in production.
