AFAIK the updates shouldnt affect your xKey unless you are doing an update that attempts to flash the drive

ie if your dash is lower than 13141

obviously your drive has the correct key, but if it is spoofed to a diferent model, the update will fail.

what was the original drive and what drive is in it now?
