• External Oscillator (Wiring to HANA is no longer required)
...
• Compatible with all Xbox360 models (Except Xenon and Corona boards)

These two features seem to clash for me. If it's HANA independent, then shouldn't it be compatible with corona 360s?

xenon: no.  read through the original release notes: the cpu doesn't like being slowed down.

corona: no (at least currently): there is no corona-compatible CB for glitching yet.  further, the 4gb corona's have a new flash controller that has yet to be reverse engineered.  cory1492 said that it does respond to SPI commands at some point, but that it still needed to be RE'ed.

Gotcha. The other chip on that market that shows off rgh on a corona made me assume it was only a lack of timing via the HANA chipset that was the only stepping stone. My mistake.

As for Xenon, I though it was a given xenons were never going to be RGH'ed?

Wouldn't RGH'ing a Xenon be like trying to put nice rims on your uncle's old 1972 Nova.  Sure it looks nice but it won't last long enough to be enjoyed...

Add rep, +1, like post. Where are these buttons when you need them? IPB Image

On a side note, it has a v nice logo.

so we will be able to RGH our xbox without the need of external hardware ?
no need for nandx to dump the nand or program the chip ?

did i understand right ?

yes sounds about right. good for people that dont own any programmer.

personally I will stick to tx coolrunners until someone figures out corona boards.

this is an all in one board. it will do the whole process from start to finish. all you'd need is this board to glitch your console.

the external clock is just for less wires to install with 'possible' corona support for future if anything happens.

Sounds good time to buy another 360. Now we just need a price. If it's the same price as the coolrunner then you can count me out since I have all the hardware already for installing the coolrunner.

I would still like to see a xenon version if it's possible since my one is banned and I don't want to RG my XBL console.

Of course with the CPU issue (I thought HANA was only used on slim consoles?) I doubt it.

i hope it has a similar price to coolrunner  so i don't have to waste money on the nand-x which cost more than the cool runner.  biggrin.gif

• External Oscillator (Wiring to HANA is no longer required)

I expect comments like this from simple simple copy-cat product manufacturers but Rebug is well respected in the PS3 scene.  If they want to put an xtal onboard, it is one less wire to solder and they can choose a clock other than 48 Mhz if they wish.  Cool, no problem there, they can state that as a value-add.  The standby clock is used only because it's convenient, it has very little to do with the RGH itself.

As for stating that wiring to the HANA is no longer required?  What do they think the I2C wires are connected to?  I guess we could assume they simply meant wiring a clock wire is no longer required, if so the language used is misleading.

No one knows exactly what will be required for Corona support until someone has made it work.  Suggesting "Corona" support in any way at this point is inappropriate.

The chip on a Xenon is labelled "ANA".  It takes digital video from the GPU and primarily performs digital-to-analog conversion.  When they added HDMI support to the Zephyr, the HDMI functionality was added to the ANA chip and was renamed "HANA".

Corona still has a "HANA", it's just not separate chip anymore.

I think this chip is the first of its kind. Im happy to see a product that doesnt need another product to make it work. I might get me one of these, but really I already have everything needed. Unless this chip is priced the same as the matrix glitcher, then I would pick me up a couple of these.

My Opinion:

I think this is made more for the people that just want to do one console or maybe a small amount. I think if it runs for around $30 then it would be a better deal then the TX or matrix glitch chip, since you wont have to buy separate to dump the nand and also to program the chips.

that would be great, cuz there's plenty of people like me that only want to do one xbox and is not worth buying the nand-x for the coolrunner .

i hope it doesn't cost more than the cool runner.

i have a question it's compatible with the nand-x v2 but what for ?

No its compatible with nand-pro v2 not nand-x. Nand-pro is the software that is used to dump the 360 nand.

Even if it cost more then the TX its still a better deal for people that just want to RGH one 360.
