Just copy the files to the root of your hard drive, and it will update the XKey on next bootup. I have not needed the remote for anything at all so far - I find it much easier to use the ISOMenu or the WiFi Web Interface.

Thanks! How do I know when it's updated? When done through the remote it takes about a minute.

That's the question I have been asking myself and i actually asked the guy that sold me one tonight and he told me that the key was fine with the new dash and was already fine in the beta ... I'm gonna look around for some extra feedback first lol

Yes this update will allow playback of XGD3 and XGD2 AP2.5 games with the latest dash. See the first line of the release notes:

* Added support for disk profiling.

I've been using the beta release for a couple of weeks now with the silent update and the new dash and all of my XGD3 backups work fine.

It may be because disk profiles is a grey zone.

You could always get it from the Unofficial site which is what i have to do. Because Xkey site would not verify my xkey and their customer support would not help me get it verified.

With out the Unofficial site i would be screwed.

Updated X360Key to 1.11 Final (throu USB stick, worked flawless)
Connected LAN cable to X360 Phat
Updated my Dash then to the latest one in passthrou mode

Disconnected LAN after checking everything was fine on the X360 Phat

Then tested X360Key with FW 1.11, everything so far working fine

Great work, just 1 x360 Phat with X360Key to update

OK, I've been putting off getting one of the xk3ys until I heard more reviews. For some reason, info is hard to come by on this device.

The replies in this thread seem to indicate that all is well with the newest dash.

Here is my question:

Are there any certain games or types of games that the xK3y cannot handle? I use a wode for the wii and it is great, no issues whatsoever.......I just want to make sure the xk3y doesn't have issues that I'm not aware of.

By the way, I'm not interested in Live info, as the xk3y wont be connected to live at all.......I have a second 360 for that purpose.

Everything works great!

Both X360 Phat don't go online

(I still have a Xbox360 Lite with kinect for online gaming )
