given all the crying maybe there shouldnt even be a xbox 360 they just copied sony, who in turn just copied nintendo etc etc, so yeah think ive said this before if a feature is a real game changer, "parden the pun XD"
surely its for the best that consumers get all the options on whaterver device fits their personal preference,

aslong as these guys dont start saying "look what we just inverted!!!!!!", i dont see the problem

This pearl of knowledge based on what?

I could burn a mixed media disk (same format as ones used by the ODEs) and stick it in a legit xbox.

Ban worthy? lol

If you can not figure this one out by yourself you probably shouldn't be posting in the first place. All MS needs to do is have a trigger that gets activated when you always insert mixed media discs between your game discs. The trigger then reads parts of the mixed media disc, parses it and looks for some x360key pattern. (I'm sure Microsoft will  be able to find something...) Tata - there you have your prove.

But they are providing you with the option to activate or deactivate the menu. So I will simply have it deactivated.

thats a stupid thought son. There is nothing controversial, or illegal in making a cd-r with a file/folder tree that matches the one used by x-key. Do you really think ms would be stupid enough to ban like this:

if(cdr.contains("xkey.ini")
{
  ban(user);
}

MS care about things that circumvent the protection they provide. The mixed media option is not being used to circumvent any protection, therefore ms do not care about it. As long as mixed media is within the ms dash, noone is getting banned for using it.

Anyone notice that they removed key extraction from the list it will be able to do?

YES.  grr.gif

They don't seem to know what customer service is either, since they don't reply to my emails asking them about it. grr.gif
