Our videos with the matrix glitcher:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSBcbGeMDM4

Tested with a different Jasper console:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSOyf4Za3ns

You can see, the successful booting varies between the two.

Boot times:

Jasper 1:
3 Sec
8 Sec
4 Sec
16 Sec
10 Sec
31 Sec
3 Sec

Jasper 2:
40 Sec
22 Sec
1 Minute and 5 Seconds
2 minutes and 7 Seconds
30 Sec

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

The Xilinx Jtag cable is a USB/LPT Jtag programming cable. Ill give you a link if you don't believe me. And the cable I was talking about is the LPT version of the Jtag cable. The thing you are thinking about that reads and writes the nand is just a simple LPT nand flasher/reader.

You need a USB Jtag programming cable
Jtag USB cable

or you can get the LPT version
Jtag LPT cable

both of those can be used to program the matrix glitcher, but see my problem is that I dont have a readily available LPT port so its either not buy this and wait or go with the 45$ cable. The USB Jtag cable is WAYYYY too hard to make at least at my experience.

if you dont believe that...then look at the matrix glitcher. See the 4 pins on the side? now look at the Jtag programming cables. They both have the same pins, VCC, TDI, TMS, etc.

Any comments on the LPT programmer from Digilent found here:
http://www.digilenti...o...2,395&Cat=5

There are no details of it on the site but it's only $12.

@geekay - The $12 Digilent one is what I use , you just have to have an open LPT port on your PC and it works great. I wouldn't fork out the money for the USB one unless you would be programming something bigger. You can also look on Ebay for one that is also around $12 and doesn't need you too hook up the DVD power cable to the CPLD to program it. the $12 digilent one does, but it isn't really a hassle.

@katerlad - I do believe that will work fine as it will have direct hardware access.

edit: I misread katerlad's post thought he was asking about LPT to USB adapter. My bad

Can the Xecuter's NAND-X/JTAG device be used to program this Matrix chip?
