With all due respect, C4E would say that.  Money spent on xKey means less money going to TX. And Verbatim, for that matter
There's no real reason why it could be any less Live-safe than LT+ firmware. Timings can be made to match the original drive (LT+ code will need optimising to do the same job). Any firmware validation checks are going to pass as it's using a dump of what's on the existing drive.

tx will still make money the xkey needs a dump of the original drive firmware and unless people have it stored on PC they will need tx products to retrieve this
