Morning Call: They have come out of no where for the 360 scene, but they have been around in some form for over 10 years. Their Wii mod, the wiikey 1, was 1 of the original mods for the consnole and was the ONLY modchip updated to support NSMB when it came out, 3 years after the device come out. They care about their name. The lead developer was the lead dev on the WODE. I don't think anyone has anything nasty to say about the WODE software, everything works.

edit: The slim support is only for Liteons, no Hitachi yet but its been worked on!

im not saying it isnt working or its a fake or anything.. but chevrolet and ford made really nice cars in the 50s and 60s but look what happened later on. im sure the x360key works now but how well is it going to be supported for every dash release. itd be nice to see someone with knowledge of whats going on behind the scenes of the device to see how well it will actually perform. having an iso loader for the wii and 360 are two totally different ballparks. nintendo is totally relaxed on updates and online where ms is not.

you are so wrong about this one, they where one of the latest to update their chips with that fix.
many teams before them upgraded full range of old chips.

I am talking about the first gen Wii mods. CycloWiz, Wiinja Deluxe, and Wiikey where the 3 biggest chips. Then there where about 1 million clones.
First there was the SMG update - in 2007, which all 3 teams fixed in a week or so, some clones did, some didn't

Then there was NSMB update. 3 years after the product come out.  The only team to update their code was the Wiikey team.
So who is better? who are we comparing them too? For the first gen modchips, Wiikey 1 was the best, full stop.

D2pro was a little disspointing. This was all happening when everyone was trying to clone their chip. They where rlsing fixes for everyone. But now allowing end users to update to the latest firmware to support new drives. However all reseller where allowed to send chips back to get reprogrammed. If you buy from places like china, you are not going to get that kind of service. We looked after all out customers.

Drivekey, a little dissapointing as well that the information was not on the SPI, so it couldn't be updated via DVD. In the end it was only 1 game, and they did bring out an update eventually.  Trust me, they didn't make any money from the d2kprog programmer.

Every team has its flaws, no one is perfect. You can only compare them to other teams out there, and if you think about it that way, these guys are right at the top.

I think any new addittion to the scene is welcome but i fail to see how this will not be easily detected, surely the images? No offence but when it comes to drives theres 1 clear daddy,we all know that.
Ill wait for C4E/Tx/JF team to give an opinion rather than blindly believing a random companies endorsments!

I don't think you understand what emulation is. All the talking the drive does ends up going through the sata cable, to the mobo. All of the info that comes out of the drive can be done by the x360key. The 360 cannot "feel the disc spinning" it cannot see or smell the disc...it just accepts the input from the DVD drive. When the x360key is installed, it will just accept the info from there instead.

And your last statement is whats wrong with the 360 scene. It seems that most people need to be slapped or shaken out of their daze. I thank c4eva, and JF and TX for all the work they have done. Without them,  who knows where we would be.  BUT you have to realize that asking them - is asking a competitor. TX make money from selling flashing tools, C4eva helps them out, JF makes the software....get it??

If you go up to a Nissan dealer, and ask them what they think about Toyota cars, you are not going to get a non biased answer my friend. Kindly wake up!

im sorry but from everything i have read about this there isnt really anything to suggest in any way it will run
extracted iso's, its an emulator all the security of the 360 is left firmly in place, all this is doing is the job of the laser and pretending its reading the data from a disk, but reading a iso instead, so the disk will still need AP 2.5 patches and security sectors and stuff, so iso format makes the most sence, there is very few games you can edit the content on without it screwing up the signature and not booting, except on jtags, so if people are planning to buy this to start editing games, any games you could ever edit with this you can edit on a disk and reburn, and the selection of games is going to be very slim

iso format makes the most sence

So it'll read ISOs, but not extracted ISOs though, the other type.  Got it.  I think. blink.gif

Have they confirmed whether this is live safe yet? As I heard when it first came out, live safety wasn't a current feature but was being worked on. I have absolutely no interest in it as of now since my LT drive is doing fine in my slim. If its not even live safe I don't know many who would want to waste that much money on it.

Live isn't the be all and end all.  Round here I know of three people who play on Xbox Live, and many many more who just play offline.

LIVE or Useless .

If it has LIVE seriously it will be kickass .. if not safe for LIVE then it's just another way to mod your box nothing cooler .

Why would I solder and attach unofficial unauthorized semi-illegal hardware  to my Xbox, When I can simply use the LT+ and burn $0.5 DVDs and still play on Live ?

It's not just another way to mod your xbox, its a way to play games without the use of disks for those without a jtag. I would definitely get this for my banned xbox, saves alot of hassle.

LT+ is unofficial unauthorized semi-illegal firmware blink.gif

This product sounds really intersting but there's not enough info on their website as to what it does and doesn't do.

Will it create the backups itself? (Im presuming so that you put disc in 360 drive activate something and it will create a dump to the usb key)

Will it work with portable harddrives also? (why not?)

Maybe I need to understand more what we can / can't do now with discs. My understanding is we can create a perfect ISO now, we just can't burn one (is that right?) therefore in theory this solution works fine.

If we can't even create a perfect ISO of a disc then there's no real way this could work without basically doing what we already do and using a modified firmware type solution (albeit the whole drive is emulated in this solution).. guess its a little more future proof if it is this type of solution though as you could at least 'update' it without having to pull your drive out.

Price seems alright too.
