I wired my 3.5" hard drive to my Xenon board a long time ago and being new to it I just followed the tutorial for internalizing your hard drive. the 2.5" tutorial, not 3.5 so I just wired everything to the Hard drive pinouts. So it tried to take too much power and I am wonder what I need to replace on the board. I have a couple junk Xenons to pull parts from.
So to reiterate..... Hooked 12v hdd to 5v connection..... RROD to No worky....
now I have a multimeter and the PSU is good I can find 5v s from the PSU the Q2F1 and F2 are no good. Should I start replacing parts here? or from the HDD connection? and does anyone know the route the HDD would go?
Please help! any advice is much appreciated. I would just move on but it is my first JTAG and is my baby
