PS: we found time also to update WODE platform, finally the WEB interface is almost ready, we plan to release this feature next week.

and now we have 2 teams not mentioning the need or lack of need for the dvd key. sorry noobs, that is the hard part of modding, once u get that, the rest is easy.

People keep comparing PS3JB to this,

These are completely different devices, with different mods.

A fair comparison is to compare them to WODE for the Wii, it's not possible to have an "open source" equivalent as it's not a JTAG hack of any sort, and secondly it's a ODD Emulator.

That is where you are wrong. Any hardware implementation with significant complexity tends to have a software side. As this will undoubtedly have a software side since it needs to emulate a DVD-ROM, it can be open-sourced. The hardware should be easy enough to replicate, and open-sourced software/firmware would allow people to build their own.

This is getting very interesting ..... I love compitition...

Cant wait for what c4 has instore

just 2 weeks ago every body was in panic mode beacause beta dash and cfw going back to ofw * and what is really going on w/ pre release dash,,,alot can change in a week...

Any way i love whats the mod gods are doing & thanks for the work you guys put in (even if turning a profit)(not everyone is nice as c4 spreading his free-luv

ps i do play my live console more then my jtag but love what my jtag & homebrew can do..really cant way what one is better..

Yup no matter what for any of these to work you will still need to get the drive key from the current DVD drive.

Probably because they were working on an ODD emulator for the Wii.
