The last four weeks have seen an unprecedented response to the new X360USB PRO product and the feedback has been nothing short of sensational. Stocks have been wiped out time and time again, the production lines are working 24/7 and resellers have reported record sales – outselling any competitors products by up to 100:1 !

Well, development is always ongoing and we are happy to announce the next level of features and capabilities with the release of the new X360USB PRO HDD HACKER TOOL.

Not only is the X360USB PRO able to communicate with DVD Drives by utilizing built in PortIO and WinAPI functions giving a level of speed and access never seen before, but it can now also connect to Hard Drives and manipulate the data for the first time over USB using any Windows 32bit or 64bit operating system with just a few simple clicks.

What does this mean for you ?

You can now convert any off-the-shelf 2.5″ SATA Hard Drive and convert it to be 100% XBOX 360 Compatible, saving you a TON of money !

The X360USB PRO HDD HACKER TOOL currently supports the entire range of Western Digital 2.5″ SATA Hard Drives, however we will be able to add a range of other manufacturer’s and models in future updates.

All you need is the HDSS.BIN file from an original XBOX360 Hard Drive (which can be easily extracted using the X360USB PRO) and use it to convert your WD SATA Drive. The following guide will show you just how easy it is.

Note: The size of the drive is limited to the size of your HDSS.BIN file (e.g. if you have a 250GB HDSS.BIN and you flash it to a 320Gb Hard Drive – then the drive will recognize in the Xbox 360 as a 250GB drive)

To support the the new HDD capabilities of the X360USB PRO, we have begun to manufacture a range of new products to give you a clean and professional Hard Drive update experience.

The X360USB PRO HDD HACKER TOOL is sponsored by www.xconsoles.com so we are happy to direct you to their website for special offers on these new products including great deals on WD 2.5″ SATA hard Drives.

Requirements
* XECUTER X360USB PRO (Minimum v18 Firmware)
* XECUTER HDD ADAPTER PRO (you can also use the HDD Adapter that comes with the CK3 Pro for Phat drives or a SATA power adapter for Slim drives)
* Windows 32bit or 64bit
* MAC OSX Compatible (When using Bootcamp or VMWare to run Windows)
* Original HDSS.BIN File

OK let’s begin…..

This image shows you the simple GUI and a short explanation of each button. The app has been kept purposely simplistic to make this as easy as possible.
* DUMP
To extract the HDSS.BIN from an original XBOX 360 Hard Drive
* FLASH
Flashes a HDSS.BIN to your 3rd party Hard Drive and saves a copy of the drives original sectors to UNDO.BIN
* RESTORE
Restores the Hard Drive’s firmware and Max LBA to it’s original state using the UNDO.BIN
* PARTITION
Partitions and formats the drive to XBOX 360 specifications

So reading this it sounds like using a single hdd you could take its file and could theoretically be used to flash all future hdd's, no need for multiple .bin files? (provided you are for example flashing from a 250gb drive to another 250 gb drive).

You could always do that.  The hard drives don't have unique keys like the DVD Drives.

I'm getting the image of the people in the infomercials who struggle to open the bag of chips and then spill them all over the place lol. Seriously though, I don't get it. I do this for free every day in about 30 sec with hddhackr. I don't see how it could possibly be faster. It's kinda redundant isnt it? Like putting your bathrobe on backwards and calling it a snuggie. Now, if it was standalone, it might be worth a dogs fart

You know, usually I'm not too keen on the people who complain about when X company releases Y tool saying it's useless or etc, but this seriously is useless.

It's just a damn USB to SATA adapter that goes for $20 at online retailers!

The only useful feature this has compared to HddHackr that makes it worth while is the fact that they are claiming you can use "any off-the-shelf 2.5″ SATA Hard Drive".  Specialist has said "It is a lot of work to convert this tool for usage with other brands and don't think it is worth the trouble."  I could see that changing in the near future.  I'm not knocking team x but they are the kings of taking an idea and making it a sellable product.  I would do the same if I had the means.

I'm betting that 'any off the shelf HDD' means: 'Any off the shelf HDD (as long as it's WD green as we really only ripped off hddhakr's code) '

Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I was hoping to try-out a SSD (even though the standard of sata supported by the 360 mobo is likely not able to utilise speeds over 7200rpm etc..) It would be nice to know my data is safe(r )
But I'm not willing to risk bricking a 300$ drive when a cursory glance of the supported list on their site mirrors Haddhakr's

Still waiting for my x360's cover, I held -off ordering it so as to get one with a cover, and they delayed it about another 5 times before shipping it without any cover! Our local distributor was kind enough to throw-in a 'probe 3' (PMT probe) not that we needed one or could use it (as we make our own form of ck3 that don't have a socket) I was happy to see that they had finally figured-out that heat-shrink is a good thing, but noticed that it hadn't been shrunk properly(nor did it go to the connector to provide strain-relief  rolleyes.gif  ) and that the switch wasn't functional at all! (haven't u guys heard of QA?) I also noted they have sanded the tops of all the active components on the PCB! How are we (of 'the scene') meant to be able to develop for it, if we don't even know what chips are there? Any reverser worth their salt would be able to guess/figure it out easily, so there's not really any excuse!  I'm starting to regret having gone for the x360 usb over the(pricey) Max Lizzard, as it would appear they are far more interested in cashing-in (by spoon-feeding the noobz or other cost-cutting means) than providing/developing new tech! I would have thought they would have their '0225' write solution out there by now also. Don't get me wrong here, I have always had respect for Xecuter and often cringe when I read posts that Xecuter-bash , but the direction they seem to be taking(lately) in terms of the easiest/cheapest way-out instead of losing a little of their margin(or taking a small risk by releasing info) to produce a better product, is worrying. If this trend keeps-up we won't be able to keep recommending/supporting their products. It's good to see them adding new features for the x360, but this just seems like a hollow marketing tool for their product (which according to them doesn't need any marketing) by porting hddhakr to win32 with their API, I haven't seen ANY credit to Modfreakz! Maybe there's a good reason for that ;-) Perhaps they could have gone the whole hog and integrated party-buffalo's drive explorer end rant\

another pointless item! if you have the cash to throw large amounts at a usb to sata why not just put it towards a real ms hdd

hddhakr was designed to save people money from silly micosoft prices not to give companys a way to also cash in plus i think even a modder would see this as lost profit because it really isnt that hard to do for free

Sorry, edit timed-out I meant :TheSpecialist/Modfreakz instead of just Modfreakz in the above post/rant.

For those looking to do this without an X360: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=601813

I agree, but you guys are missing the point,
its a additional free feature for existing x360usbpro users.
not the sole reason to go and purchase a x360usbpro
a usb to sata it maybe but you have to admit a rather special one.
