throwing it out tomorrow
Before you just throw it away....could you just send it to me?...I could use it for parts since you just gonna throw it away like that.I may could use it man..
The best thing to do to prevent RROD is to limit your game playing to a certain amount of time.(I play about 2-3 hours...but 4 hours should be the max...anything over 4 is RROD ahead )..Never leave your console on at all...never fall asleep with it on...always unplug the power from the wall when your not playing..never leave a game disc inside the system when turning it off..never plug in the hard drive with it on...Replace your thermal paste at least twice a year and have your motherboard cleaned professionally in some ultra sonic cleaner. You gotta take care of these systems these days...the xbox360 hates to be neglected...it wants loving care too.also when you are playing have a desk fan placed right in front of the system(I have one myself)...never set your system on a complete solid surface...it has vent holes on both sides so placing something underneath(like a card board box that would fit perfect between the two vents with holes on the side would help the hot air to escape well. and create a way for air flow to flow underneath the system...now it can breathe...lol....you could even install the Hybrid fix to prevent the RROD....it may last and life time then if your did all the recommendations i posted above....Just dont play it for long long hours....have you another system to play until it cools off or something(I still play my PS2 or dreamcast or Original xbox they will never RROD..lol..)...also leave your desk fan on when you turn it off...Its gets real dam hot when you turn it off and the fan stops blowing...i believe this is how RROD all starts...they should have made the fan stay on longer in my opinion after powering off.....because without them fans in action that GPU heat sink rises in temp....
I have had my 360 for almost two years and its still going hard...why?...because i take care of mines....I just change the thermal paste even when it running fine an dandy..I want to keep that heat transferring rate like its suppose to be......Game Systems are not like they use to be...They want respect now
Take Care of your 360 man...and i promise it will take care of your gaming needs...
