Anyone found a good UK source for these?  £10 inc delivery from Conrad is the best I've found so far..

I can't stand it any longer.

Like always, stealing ideas and make own products!
I see dying people!!

This is not personal message to you but to all...they don't say they invented the hack, they give credits to the guy who did...

Presenting the SUPERFLY PROBE HACK lol smile.gif

I think Maximus doesn't give any credits, do they? Did they really invented it? Because I see TX giving the oportunity to current owners create their own spear for peanuts! not charging 9-10 euros for it.
Anyway.. a BIG THANKS to Superfly!

How critical is the 1f 2.5v, as I have stock of 1f 5.5v leaded, or 1f 2.5v SMT which I could probably solder too.

Thanks.

Just did this by sticking a 5,5V 0.68 cap on to a probe v1 and it worked on two drives, lt and stock liteons wink.gif

Tested with a Cold Cap 1F 5.5v (round flat capacitor) and works perfectly.
Stock and later tested with LT+ (7, 8v2 and 9-series, all stock and LT+)

Nice job, guys (and girls?) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I was pissed when my probe broke.  Piece of shit connector and small wires came out of the connector and no way to fix it.  Maybe they could use some thicker gauge wire so this crap don't break off from the connector from twisting over time.  To bad I don't have it no more, think I threw it out when it broke.  I could of totally used it for this.  I guess Ill just build my own.

This shits funny Team Xecuter vs Maximus.

I support no side, as both sides of the fence seem shady to me.

So all of you feel safe not doing a full dump for calibration data?

I prefer MRA because of the calibration data, but this is a nice/simple solution if you don't have the key (e.g. flashed by someone else) and the drive is flashed with the LT firmware and you want to 'update' to the LT+

I recall reading that c4eva had determined this area of the firmware is never even accessed. Not even sure calibration data is the correct term for it because I have seen no evidence that anyone has used this to adjust or calibrate anything. If i am wrong someone please link me to something that says otherwise.
