that is correct, you can use the 360 for power or an xtractor to power the unit.  frankly if i kinda understood this, i probably would have waited for the usbxtractor since i have to use my old xtractor for external power.  so don't be mislead, you can't just use an external 12v power supply to power the xtractor / drive.

to me it seems i need to use my external 12v power supply to power the xtractor, then use the xtractor and power drop kit to power the drive.

Why are you complaining about power adapters? Every IC on this planet uses 1.8v-5volts. If you did not connect the Power drop to either an xtractor/CK3/Xeno conn kit, how on earth would you power the drive?

@ all YOU HAVE THE OPTION to connect it to the xbox 360 as well.

But this is my point, the whole "which is better" argument between x360usb and this was the lack of a connectivity kit, maxi decided to include what was called at the time a mini connectivity kit.  Which if you read the tut it is clearly not the case.

yea people i think this product will be a dissaster, about to even send it back with chargeback on credit card in case they refuse my refund. remeber you can do that as longest u send back product with tracking number. and seller will hate u if u do that casue it is a - point for him with the credit card companies.
This message is for the MAXIMUS team if you listen to your customers:

Learn somethign from your competition,....never release a product without it's complete manual. Just because you know your damn product does not mena the rest of the people do. A manual for a device sold to a household must be dummy proof. meaning the most idiotic person should be able to understand it. Again you should look at the tutorial from jungleflasher and TX team and you will understand the completion of a manual. Charge people 100.00$ for a product at least do a spell check . make it worth wild that we are proud to have bought the product, unlike me that wants to putt it in to the garbage ...but i won't give up my 100$ that easy

QUOTE(naser075 @ Feb 10 2011, 04:59 PM) View Post

listen we are not blasting any1 you have a great product, please simply putt pictures up in the manual it would really be great. If you look at Jungleflashers manual it is what I call a complete manual. maybe that would be a great tutorial to follow. No1 will judge as longest we ( any dummy) can understand it.
As for the grammer thing i know it is not your primary language but you can ask any1 here they will correct anyhting for you anytime. Hope we are all good just putt up a good and comprehensive tutorial

QUOTE(naser075 @ Feb 10 2011, 09:03 PM) View Post

if i were u guys I would not look at that tutorial and wait for it to be complete unless some1 can putt somehting on youtube so we can all see how it works

I'll explain it to you ,..first i get the product, then tutorial is not complete so i bare with them till they complete it to make it dummy proof. not very complicated to understand.

now i will wait till i get the full completed tutorial for usage as promised

JF Manual wasn't built overnight either, it is also a work in progress with constant changes.

We ask you just bare with us.

we are adding all the liteon info to manual today and will have posted tonight, I have been going through the manual and correcting grammar; as ENGLISH is not maximus's native language.

Regards,
VGC Repairs

Correct - It wasn't written overnight!

but it is never released half finished for any current version!. blink.gif

The constant changes are only made to keep up with revision changes of Jungleflasher - If a method changes or there is important info that is required to be publicised - the tut is updated! (last req'd update was 1.74, jf is now on 1.78! - the tut didnt require any additional info - so it remained on ver 1.3.8!)

Thats called - Common sense!  cool.gif

Wait, errrmmmmmmm

If the case delayed it by 2-3 weeks, What the fuck were they going to release?

1 paragraph in a guide? only 2 buttons on the lizard work ?

The rest will follow, but thats ok, because it has potential.

I hope for any buyers sake, its supported more than the Xtractor Pro 2 was ....

Nice execution of avoiding the questions asked ....

So, tell me, do you really think dvdkey32 was an elaborate ploy to make money from serial adapters, or maybe youlll realise the hack was an exploit, the same command set opened up lo83 (sata!!) too.

I may be a brat, but sadly for you, I'm an educated one....

Even redeath admitted Lizard released prematurely ....

Again, why if the h/w was delayed for ~3 weeks, were the documentation and/or applications not worked on ?

Seriously .....

We held JF releases back for the user guide to catch up.

Also, referencing my XP2 point, when did you see the last update from it? When did software fully integrate it ?

Cool, can't wait for the electrical engineers to start dissecting this tool and method. Is it effectively the same as the MRA method, but just a different way of grounding the trace / cutting the circuit without needing to do an actual cut?

P.S OggyUK, change your signature, it is causing an authentication dialog in this thread.
