Yes, the firmware is the same from c4eva. His credits are actually displayed on the Lizard.

I and others tested the units . They all work. As for the manuals. What do you need to know? To get back a submenu, you hold the up button down for a second or two until the asterick comes up. If you wonder where the 'getfile from computer' to read the firmware is at wonder no more. The new lizard toolbox has been released. on the downloads and manuals page.

I was not just only replying to you. If you need the file get feature then you will need to d/l the newest tbx. And, that was really what I was driving at.

@ Big shout out to vgcrepairs for giving me a Maximus Lizard to  test.

@Maximus a great product once again.

Just a few things why I purchased are no driver issues, no sata requirements, flash with a Mac.. The portability of it... It may have the ability to not need a computer in the future..

so until the future stand alone firmware updates are out

its not worth buying as it does nothing that a reg flasher can not do except no cut traces on lo9k

as i never have touched a mac
have no driver issues or sata issues

now not needing a pc is great but how long will it be before they release that ?

i may pick one up later but no cut traces at the moment not worth it for me only takes 5 min to do it and less to repair traces .

I look forward to all of your glowing reviews might make me change my mind

this must be the most incomplete user manual i have ever seen looks like a 5 year old made it. come on maximus team learn a thing or two from jungleflasher or TX team . no pictures no thorough explanation . it should be dummy proof. really disappointing. How the hell do i flash the 93xxx drives no pics no guide that we can understand . really mad

First let me say I have not received mine and what I say below is only from reading the manual

I have to agree with you, I know the manual is under construction, but whatever has been written already is really badly broken English & is hard to follow. It also seem's like there are alot more steps to do than what the video first showed, I just hope they make it a lot more simple, I mean more automated rather than click this, click that now go back here and do this, click this go back to pc click that, now on the lizard push that.

I am sure in time this could be great but at the moment it seem like a hassle.

yea people i think this product will be a dissaster, about to even send it back with chargeback on credit card in case they refuse my refund. remeber you can do that as longest u send back product with tracking number. and seller will hate u if u do that casue it is a - point for him with the credit card companies.
This message is for the MAXIMUS team if you listen to your customers:

Learn somethign from your competition,....never release a product without it's complete manual. Just because you know your damn product does not mena the rest of the people do. A manual for a device sold to a household must be dummy proof. meaning the most idiotic person should be able to understand it. Again you should look at the tutorial from jungleflasher and TX team and you will understand the completion of a manual. Charge people 100.00$ for a product at least do a spell check . make it worth wild that we are proud to have bought the product, unlike me that wants to putt it in to the garbage ...but i won't give up my 100$ that easy

"Make it worth wild" lol
If you don't want it, you can always send it to me.

JF Manual wasn't built overnight either, it is also a work in progress with constant changes.

We ask you just bare with us.

we are adding all the liteon info to manual today and will have posted tonight, I have been going through the manual and correcting grammar; as ENGLISH is not maximus's native language.

I see so you don't exactly get a connectivity kit with this either  blink.gif  £80+ for this Vs £40 for the team-x release biggrin.gif tough call but  money being tight  with most people i know what i will choose.

Correct me if I'm wrong it's called a power drop is it not? and as the pics and tut show you either need the original maxi connectivity kit or use the xbox.

that is correct, you can use the 360 for power or an xtractor to power the unit.  frankly if i kinda understood this, i probably would have waited for the usbxtractor since i have to use my old xtractor for external power.  so don't be mislead, you can't just use an external 12v power supply to power the xtractor / drive.

to me it seems i need to use my external 12v power supply to power the xtractor, then use the xtractor and power drop kit to power the drive.
