You need a spear or vampire or homemade device to do Liteon 7series drives still, you need to do MRA/Boxxdr method or use on of those shitty Xecuter LT switch/clip boards or Probe 2 to do Liteon 8v2 or 93450s.

This would be good for desktop or laptop users.  Just because you have onboard compatibility or a VIA card doesn't mean everyone does.  I use a laptop and a PC to flash drives.  Both can flash 100% any drive.  I have no problems with my hardware, though some people have driver issues and such so this will be better for them.

He actually does think c4eva, and by association, Team Jungle, are holding back the firmware, in order to boost sales of the x360USB PRO.

Im not here to point fingers at anyone, but it wouldnt suprise me if the new drives firmware was being tested with the new device before they release it, so that could be why they havent brought it out yet, thats my 2 pence anyway, also ive heard the slim 360 has new built in protection for flashed drives and they are finding ways around it, i think it would stink if the new firmware comes out a week after this device does though :-)

As already stated, compatible simply means it will detect the drives. We already know that the Lite-on 9504 is a simple read and write with no extra tools but we dont know what will be involved in flashing the 0225 or the Hitachi 0500.

No, this runs off of usb (5v) the drive requires 12v. You cant use it to power drives.

However, Ive 2 working prototypes of the x360usb pro

One is in my hands with an eta, the other isnt with no eta.

I'm quietly confident in my backing of fw not releasing with this, on probability alone.

If there were no updates, people would bitch where the updates are, as in all good businesses and successful partnerships, communication is key - Xecuter are constantly informing people that they are progressing steadily with this device, adding new features, improving support, speed and reliability of the device. This is a good thing, not a bad thing.

The only issue I have with the whole slim fw crap, is that we all are waiting for c4eva, only him.

I don't know if Geremia (the only one who did make a single fucking open step with the slim still) is the side holding the truth when he says there is no way C4eva will be able to write the fw back into the 0225's and that hes fucked up for the previous ones thats why he did not release a slim fw yet even for the 94's. Or, if team X really got their hands into c4evas job, because if they did it is obvious he will delay the fw release until the shit usb crap tool is released. Otherwise we all would have our 0225's and 94's flashed all over already and would not buy crap from teamX.

Anyway, it sux that c4eva is the only one doing it, I wish I was able to work on fw's but life didnt give me that gift, or even time to dedicate to it. Seriously, the whole ps3 cfw/homebrew scene is progressing like it is right now because theres many working on it, not a single fucking dude that can be easily controled by a team of greed bastards.

I can say all the crap I want about team X btw, have a game store near Paraguay and I ressold over 100k of their products the past years, but holding the fw is gay and stupid. The Xbox's scene is gay right now unless you have a damn jtag. : /
