this is about maximizing profits an ac/dc power adapter to molex costs about £10 the lizard product should include one of these for free and team x should also offer in their second package one of these.

All internal power supplies have thermal issues. They use big capacitors and coils, and that creates high temps. That's the main reason why all the notebooks have external power supply. Even Dell's latest external small factor power supplies failed because of thermal issues and they replaced them with bigger ones. The production of these small power supplies dropped from the production line.
So, imagine how it would effect the whole product. How much the components of Lizard or X360USB's would be stressed by these increased temps. Also, if your internal power supply fails, you have to repair it (if posible), or throw the whole product to the trash! If the power supply is external, you just replace it and you are good to go again.
I agree that both must include an external poer supply to their expensive full packages, it will be add value move anyway for their products.

Yea can anyone confirm this? I want to mod my slim, and this would be the perfect product for me. I can't solder, and I don't trust myself to cut any traces. So if this solution requires nothing but a spare molex connection for the more expensive one it sounds like a wet dream to me.

Nope.  If its the wrong dvd drive in it or you dont have the correct key for the xbox, you will not be able to do it.  Only way to get the key is if the XBOX is jtaggable.
