So let me get this right there is going to be two versions of this kit

1. usb device only (£39.99)
2. usb device with molex connector built in so ck3 not needed to power drive (£?)

If this is the way it is then sorry but this is stupid it restricts people to using pcs because of the molex connection it would of been a better move to have a kit with ac/dc 12v power adapter with molex included in one of the kits and slap on few extra quid £40 to me is a bit over priced £30 would be about right for just the usb device £40 say with the power adapter included.

I saw mention of 0800 well about time I hope they finally are going to let us rip are own games I don't like how they have been encouraging people to pirate of the internet.

Awesome news.  

I have a slim (0225) and I'm very glad to hear some good progress!

Also, I plan on purchasing the usb pro thing as well, should make it much easier, and I can't wait throw away that stupid sata card.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I guess c4eva is working with the team to  make some money out of it . Why else would the liteon slim xtreme FW be delayed so much . Im sure it will be out when these usb thingies are out otherwise who would buy them . This item would be good for regular modders as for the common man i dont think they would buy it if they have to use it just once .SATA works great if u wanna flash your drive once .I would defi buy it if it did not depend on MRA hack ,but it does so i dont think i will for 60$+ .But if c4eva is selling fw ohhyea i will pay money for that .Damn that guys good.

Well that seems abit cocky of them,
and directly aimed at Maximus.

I am pretty sick of Xecuter claiming they make better products than Max because they work with c4.

Max develops much more intuitive, functional products.

Take the Xtractor 2 fw 1.4 for example.

-Auto 0x72 if you prep the drive before hand. VERY useful for updating drives without opening them again.
-Auto Half Tray
-Can be controlled over serial coms by the PC. Definitely streamlined my flashing/updating process.
-Firmware updates to allow fixes and new commands.

Can you describe a current Xecuter product at a comparable price that offered the same functionality?

I've not seen the hitachi yet, so assuming 0500 is the firmware revision for the hitachi..... surely just listing firmware revision rather than make/model is just stupid when thats what they have done earlier in the same "press release".
