Hey all -
I'm being a cheap-ass, and trying to avoid buying a data transfer cable to do the job for me, so I'm hoping someone out there can tell me if this is at all possible, and hopefully give me a few pointers -
I have a Pro model Xbox 360 (60gb hdd), a new 250gb Slim model Xbox 360 and a Datel Xport360 (if you're not familiar with this accessory, see here:

With the xport360, I have the option of backing up data individually to a PC, or dumping an entire disc image from a non-slim xbox 360 hard drive. I'm wondering if there's a way to dump this data, and then connect the hard drive from my new Slim Xbox 360 to my PC and transfer it to the newer, larger drive and keep the content associated with my xbox live account (including gamesaves - will there need to be any re-signing?).
My questions in particular are:
1. Is it possible to connect the xbox 360 slim drive to my PC directly (without need of proprietary accessories)?
2. I understand that a disc image from the original drive has the hard drive key associated with it, thus rendering the data useless when transferred to another drive - is it possible to circumvent this by dumping the files instead of an image?
3. Am I going to run into a bunch of trouble re-signing gamesaves?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
