Hi

This is the 3rd 360 I have had with an instant red light on powering up, have sorted the other 2 quickly...any ideas on this one...?

same on all Bricks tested so, it's definitely this falcon box and not the brick

If I use a 203w brick I just get an instant red light on the Brick and nothing on the 360

If I use a 175w brick I get an instant red light on the brick and rrod 2ndary being 0001

Looked all over board and nothing seems out of place and can't see any shorts / bridges but I can see some light blistering from a previous reflow on top of both the GPU and CPU and also a couple of the big caps in front of the CPU are bulging slightly but not burst

Would this cause the problem?

Have swapped out dvd power cable...so not that....and checked for the obvious USB shorts and not a heatsink short either?

read it could be a blown capacitor fuse....where do I look for these?

Any ideas peeps?
