Hello all, I would appreciate some advice on how to fix an Xbox 360 with a short circuit..now i have two Xbox's with short circuits and are in need of repair. Please if anyone that knows what they are doing, help me out. I will need to know what tools to get and how to make this repair possible..i am trying to learn how to repair these kind of stuff but needs someone to direct me..if more information is needed please let me know..Thank You for Your Time.

I think most of the people here have the experience and the tech background to help you in anything you need, but you have to be more specific.
What short circuit do you have? post some photos of what you mean, that would help. Also post the secondary codes.

Well I tried to wire the Ethernet LED Activity..and while i was putting everything back together..the 2 wires probably touch each other and caused a short circuit..i know this because the fans stopped spinning and the dvd drive wont open..now i need to know how to fix it lol and the error code is 0001

0001 , if you looked around the forum already, is referring to power circulation issue. That means a component is busted and needs replacement. Usually the problem is located to MOSFETs. You must check them one by one. Good luck.

Is replacing these "MOSFETs" any hard? what is the difficulty level of this procedure? and has it been done?

Yes it has been done many times from many. But... because they are soldered by robots in a factory it is little hard to unsolder them and you will need your time to do so. It is harder to find them in the market than de-solder them smile.gif

Wow you can't find these replacement MOSFETs?? any clue where to find them?

I just said that it is hard, not impossible. If you are in USA it is easier to get some on hand. Also try eBay if you are from USA.
