A while back ago (over a year) my Xbox 360 crashed. My brother (a computer engineering student) fixed it somehow and gave it a better heat sink. A month or two later it crashed again. So I checked to see what the error code was: E73, I believe.
From what I understood, I thought it had something to do with the motherboard. I disassembled the xbox (my warranty had expired at that point) and checked to see if there was anything visually wrong with it. I didn't, so I've had it in my closet until today, where I re-examined it. This time I got the motherboard type:
x803600-011 (Xenon, I believe)
and when I reassembled it (more carefully this time), I decided to test it again.
The first time I turned it on after reassembling it, I got a 3 flashing rings error: E18 (0102)
The second and all other times (I turned it off and back on for each error test), I would get this error:
1 flashing ring: E73 (1021) error.
From my understanding, this is an error with something related to the ethernet.
I'm going to try to do whatever I can before I replace the xbox. Any help would be appreciated.
