Plain and simple, this is an opinion.  A single person's perspective that may be shared amongst the gaming community.  A true gamer has their favorite and least favorite games.  They want to learn all they can about the game.  Glitches, exploits, cheats, are part of the curiousity that strikes a true gamer.  On the other hand, is one a true gamer if cheating is all they think about?  Is one a true gamer if they don't understand the games glitches and what not?  My personal answer is strongly      NOOOOO!!!  Getting into silly arguments about cheating and not cheating is stupid and immature.  It should not be tolerated.  Please people, I ask of you?  understand one another and help each other become true gamers.  Why must we comform into a facsioused dictatorship where their is only one belief.  For America lets all be free and ejoy each others company.

"where their" should be "were there".  :P

But yes, to say you know glitches isnt anything.  To cheat doesnt mean anything.  To me, to say you know the game, you got to know how everything about the game works.  What causes this and that to be glitched?  What causes this and that to allow hacks.  What blocks certain things and what doesnt?  To say you are a "true hacker" or a "true cheater", which I hear people say all the time, doesnt mean anything unless you can explain what does what in the game.

FOR A QUICK SHOUT OUT, IF YOU ARE EVER IN A FORUM THAT YOU DON'T AGREE WITH, THEN PLEASE JUST LEAVE IT ALONE.  ASK YOURSELF WHY YOU ARE IN IT.  IT IS HIPICRITICAL TO SAY ONE THING AND DO ANOTHER.

i think a true gamer is someone who does not need to cheat and owns at the game, he does not need to know how to hack and cheat the game

Donny your right a true gamer does not need to cheat to win. A true gamer can win without cheating or using any kind of exploits. But theres one thing your forgeting, there are lots of people like you that beg for cheats and hacks to use for so called (your own server) theres many people like you that say thats what they intend to use it for but instead are just lying to get what they want. On the other hand a true gamer also takes the time to learn the game in and out which means finding glitches and exploites that can be used against them and find ways to counter them. They also hack system files to get a better understanding of how the game works and why it works that way.

Sturdycracker couldn't have said it better.  Donnie, I know that you and I do not get along.  I am, however, glad that you posted your opinion in my topic.  What inspired people to hack Rainbow Six 3 Black Arrow?  Was it the cheating aspect, the feeling of power and misguided leadership?  Was the reason to be able to kill anyone without dying at a moments notice?  Was the reason simply, for a feeling of great achievement?  I, myself, do not claim to be a great hacker of many games.  I'm just a person that enjoys thinking outside the box.  There is a hacker that I help.  By help, I mean that I give him ideas.  We are very good friends and we will not leak any information about new ideas and his ability of hacking anything that he can find.  What I will tell you is what I believe inspired him, but first one has to know his personallity.  He is a fun loving young man who loves a challenge.  If he is capable of completing a challenge he will complete it.  In the process he seems to get better at what he loves to do.  What inspired him was the idea of a challenge, and not the idea of cheating.  Donnie, because of this; today's xbox hackers are the next day's Air Force Intelligence Airman.  You would be surprised how much I know you.  At the age of fifteen there are a lot more things to do than play xbox.  Like losing your verginity, for instense.  It's fun.  Try it.

what inspires me to try and hack rainbow six is to get another point of view of the game and to do things other people cannot. no i do not like cheaters nor will i ever try and cheat on rainbow six, if i ever do get mods for rainbow six 1. i will not share it with anyone. 2. i will not cheat, i play gamebattles i do not cheat, whats the point of cheating? if you cheat you will eventually get bored of never dying and quit the game and i do not want to quit such a great game and unholy doom inlike some of your posts i agree with that one with 110% but wouldnt it be fun while losing my virginity have 255 grenades in the backround lol j/m.

I agree with FSG.  The post that he quoted was a good one.  Donny also made a good point.  It would be extravagant and sufficiently erotic to have sexual relations with a well kept lady with a weapon on your back.  Something about that idea just makes me feel like growling.  LOL!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

She would probably say something along these lines, "You are making me so wet right now.  Give me all of you!"  Ofcourse, if she doesn't weigh 300 lbs that part is going to awesome.  I'd love to show her my true gamer, LOL!!!

The point of all of this is...  You can find out a lot about something by taking it apart and putting it back together.  That's what you do when you mod.  I for one do not mod, but I've been into some servers with people that do.  I've overheard a lot of things about modding.  Why should I if I already know what it's about.

i wish it was as easy as just taking it apart n putting it back together.. but it has security measures (the signature) which i cannot figure out how to do it.. supposedly it has to do with the file and the hard drive but i dont even know where to start
