So I'm performing the X-Clamp fix for the first time. I'm following the llamma.com tutorial. However, I don't think I used the right drill bit. I used the right size ... it just didn't deburr the metal in the case. So I'm afraid of putting it back together in this way. I'm sure the fix would still work but not for long. So basically ... how do I remove the metal scraps that are sticking out of the metal case? Would this work?

Any expertise would be appreciated ...
Probably the fastest way is to simply use a dremel with a sanding bit attached. If you don't have a dremel, then just do it by hand with a few stages of sandpaper, start off with 60 grit, jump up to 80 grit and then finish with 120 grit.
