AHHHH, not a heatspreader on top of the chip.  If It's like the PS3, they use an epoxy-thermal compound to stick them on there and they are a pain in the butt to get off the chip without damaging it, but underneath almost every one, the thermal stuff has dried and turned to complete powder.

Hows the noise of that fan?

Is there a noticeable difference? My jasper is really loud, I might trade it for a slim. That noise is driving me mad.

You jasper must have a problem because mine is super quiet compared to the older models.

I think it looks like a piezo buzzer. It would make sense seeing as microsoft have got rid of the red led's (new way to give error codes?)

It has ethernet port to whoever said no ethernet. Not everyone has a wireless router. Would be a dumb thing to not add one.

I am wondering if this has a faster CPU or the same old 3.2GHz?
