So a few months ago my xbox 360 would freeze during gameplay or movie playback or even in the dash, then I got an E79/1033 error for a while. Tried the southbridge x-clamp fix with no luck, tried the hybrid x clamp fix on top of that, no luck, bought a heat gun, heatgunned the hana, southbridge, cpu, gpu and ram chips.. now i get a 20-30 second delay on startup and then 3 red lights with an 0022 error code. Heat gunned again, still same error.. Any ideas? or is this box trashed?

I forgot to add that the second time, i made sure to inspect and clean the whole board for any thermal compound that may have gotten on it, dont see any broken traces either. Does this need a reball? or should i just spend the $100 bucks and get a used 360 from someone else

The problem where you went wrong was taking a heat gun to it. It sounds like you ruined the solder balls(bridged) the solder under the BGA's. A Reball of the GPU will more than likely correct this problem. There is nothing else that you can do. My advice is to get a Reball or sell it and move on.

And maybe its not the GPU maybe its the TSOP considering that is possibly part of the error

Yeah that's probably not the case with this console. TSOP-0022-JTAG'n=Yes    Heatgunning=0022=No TSOP Error
