Xecuter NAND-X JTAG Kits Update

Many users have asked us about the different JTAG kit designs that we mentioned yesterday. We are sending a bunch of different variations out to many different testers of varying skill over the next few days so we will have the perfect universal solution for you confirmed by next week. Not only are there versions designed for the top of the Xbox motherboard but we've also designed variations for the alternate points on the bottom of the motherboard, using BAT41 diodes where necessary and utilizing a 3 mode Multi-R resistor feature (0 / 330 / 470).  Here's a couple of pictures of the various versions:

so this is safer then just using diodes, well wtf are they doing other then using diode i ask?

and it look like in response to every one saying this is just a board with wire and diodes is to add a pointless switch

also whats the jumper for
edit
is the jumper to switch between 330r and diodes if so thats so stupid as the diodes are a better way for all boards

No, they are still using the diodes only, but you have a "jumper" on the original jtag hack and you can now choose between 0/330/470 Ohm on this two points.

See the blue connection:

Stupid stupid marketing. This kit is not going to be any better or do anything differently from the maximus Jtag boards. SO basically if we want our setup to be just like this but not spend 12 extra dollars we can just use bat41 diodes. The resistor to bridge 4-7 does not do anything it is a worthless feature to add. Zephyrs are still going to give random e79 errors regardless.

You are wrong about the resistor, juggahax0r. Some boards definitely need it. From what I have seen, specifically newer Falcons that do not have RAM chips on the underside of the motherboard, need a 470ohm resistor, where just a jumper wire, 100ohm and 330ohm failed.

They would boot fine at first but after running for 5-10 mins a reboot would give an rrod. repeatedly turning it on and off would get them to boot and then run fine.

Leaving them off for a while would make them boot again, making it look like a heat issue, but that was not the case.

I've only been able to test very few, but make no mistake, it was needed.

Never even heard of anyone having trouble with Falcons. I have done more Falcons than any other MB and never had that problem. The Zephyrs i have , but putting a resistor as the bridge doesn't fix it either people have tried that , the only thing you can do is minimize its occurrence. I have been doing around 5 Jtags a day and the only MB that gives me problems is the Zephyr , and xecuter did not solve that problem i would be willing to put money on it. The reason they are taking a step back is called stalling , they don't have it ready so they are making up an excuse , they also implied in their post yesterday that Maximus rushed their product to the market , i have a Maximus nandflasher , and i am very pleased with it and guess what , if xecuter had released theirs already i would have bought one , i don't think they have anything to release to be quite honest. at first when you went to the preorder site it said shipping on april 1st now it is the 16th and they are still doing preorders , and have made a couple excuses to give them more time.

Thats cool i don't need a nand-x i already have a usb flasher. I may try 1 of the jtag kits on a Zephyr but i just use wire and diodes it's cheaper than buying a board just for the Jtag wiring.
