Xecuter Nand-X Solderless Addon Announced

After some posts made by forum members regarding a solderless method for the NAND points, we have agreed to manufacture a nice solderless add-on for the NAND-X. It's obviously not for everyone, and you will still need to solder the JTAG part of the mod, but it's easy to make and it's been requested so of course - why not? As you can see there is no heatsink on the southbridge - so we will be making a nice heatsink with attached breakout PCB and pogo pins - much like the Xapt3r we made in the X2/X3 Xbox 1 days. Thanks to Micr0shaft for his ideas and we will be giving you something easy to use in the next couple of weeks :)

The only thing that's somewhat hard about soldering nand/jtag points is db1f1. One could wish that Xecuter would make a solderless solution for that bitch instead of tricking customers into buying some add-on they don't really need.

i havnt got a modded 360 so i dont know of the hassles of JTAGing a 360, but its a shame that modding a 360 isnt as easy as a wii solderless solutions.(yes i know its completely differnt)

I've only done a xenon so the jtag part was easy, but about to do a jasper, is db1f1 a bitch to do on a jasper?
Thanks.

For me it's not...Like I said I have no idea what everyone's problem is... Tin the DB1F1 point, tin the wire, add some flux....solder it up...enough said.

The actual soldering was easy.  When the entire pad just fell off for some reason, a couple days after the mod, I turned to the third point.  It was almost as hard as soldering to a smc leg, but that !@#$ isn’t going anywhere.

Yep and hot glue the joint and part of the wire down and no issues.

The solderless solutions back in the xbox 1 days weren't very dependable.  It was very difficult to get it on right and usually didn't last too long before you had to open it up and replace it.  Soldering was always the easier more dependable method for me.

Though I have 0 experience modding 360s, I would assume the case could be similar.

in general, if you are trying to avoid soldering while still doing a JTAG, you need to send it to someone who won't have trouble with the simplest of soldering...

the points on the 360 motherboard that are involved with the JTAG mod are very easily soldered to.

go out and buy some 30 gauge Kynar wire at radio shack and use their cheep o 15 watt pencil tip iron. it is the cheapest solution and will work every time, as long as you have basic soldering skills.

if you can't do it then, have someone else do it for you.

My db1f1 pad fell off too, its because this point is different from all others on the mb. The hole unter it is much smaller and there is no small metal ring around it. As I said its totally different and has no good hold on the pcb.

Thats why I had to use alt point on the back which is actually similar to the db1f1 it can fall off if u stay a bit too long with the soldering iron on it. but anyways i managed to solder it so it wont fall off.

If u take a look at forum theres a ton off ppl who fuck up both db1f1 and the alternative FT1U2. Then u can still scrap the pcb till u can see the circuit path and solder the wire to it. So in fact u cant destroy the unit actually. Unless u scrap the pcb too much ofc.

A jasper it was
