Totally useless. If you brick reopen the console again ?  dry.gif

i agree. cygnos360 v2 is much better here as it gives you permanent access to the port.

Mr.Modchips famously cancelled an order from an Israeli customer, because

"You are viewed as a fraud risk and it is company policy not to support people whos government kill innocent civilians and children.
Thank You"

And no, it's not made up even though it's April Fools' Day.

I remember this.  Even though I am not Jewish, I find this quite offensive and would prevent me from buying anything from them.  Its sad to see how much antisemitism still exists in the modern world.

Anyway, the NAND-X looks pretty legit.  Now to find myself an exploitable console  sleep.gif

Lol , looks like my USB SPI Flasher which i build 3 or 4 month ago...
Only the Quicksolderparts are new
But my coloured cables costs 80 Cents, so i can leave them in every console!

The whole materialcosts are 10 Euro for private customers!
Big companies would get the parts cheaper.

sure, its a clone of the USB SPI Flasher that was posted on xboxhacker about half a year ago...

I have used VGC multiple times, and have had nothing but the utmost satisfaction. i have been given endless free support from VGC countless times, nothing but respect is received from these Guys. They have superior service in several ways. I recommend VGC to any and everyone. Every experience has been a quick and positive one, and i have always gotten the support I've asked for, but not necessarily always needed wink.gif

Thx to All

Same here, Ed is the man. Their shipping is great (orders ship fast and CHEAP) and their customer service is top-notch. Aside from Maximus products being of superior quality (in my opinion), I'd recommend VGC to anyone for parts or service.

They dropped the price because it's already over-priced as it is. It's not even Dual-NAND anymore. It does the exact same thing as the 360NandFlasher and the Nand-X. The only difference is it has it's own software.

I love how damn off-topic everyone is on this forum.

This is a thread showing off the Installation of the Nand-X, and everyone just trolls about other products and how much better they are than others.

It's pretty damn pathetic.

wrong.

1) Maximus NAND flasher and X-NAND are identical. Cygnos is a different approach. they flash the xbox NAND directly, not via the southbridge. The direct reading and programmming if Cygnos is MUCH faster.

2) Maximus and X-NAND do not have any way of making this nicely internal. as some other people have also posted here, you have to open up your console to attach the flashing device or you have to make ugly cuts to take out the USB cable. Cygnos was designed to have a vertial USB connector so you can just plug and unplug it whe your console is closed.

3) Cygnos has (long time ago) integrated the jtag HACK, which means they actually trigger the jtag inject from their firmware, you dont need diods or resistors. this way is much safer. look at the reports from
"Jtag Saver" (http://www.xbox-scen...EkFZPxAAGhE.php). the homemade diode or resistor way can easily destroy your xbox...

this is not at all off-topic, we are discussing installation ease and capabilities here, right? or is this the praise X-NAND thread? everybody can have his own opinion, mine is that this replica of others works (XBH guys release this Do your own USB flasher months ago) and stealing their design just sticks. They bang on their chests for copying something that was out there months ago. you could even buy self made PIC USB programmers on ebay back then.

Agreed with 1) above - Cygnos is a totally different thing. And it costs a lot more - it's basically an extra NAND.

You could, with a tiny bit more soldering make your own port on the side of the 360 in addition to using either Maximus NAND flasher or X-NAND and do roughly the same thing as 'giving you permanent access to  the [NAND] port'.

This obviously won't work if I have a console updated to the newest dashboard (that I use on LIVE), right?

so what you're saying is the Nand-X is the exact same install as max's but Nand-X is $10-15 cheaper? I think i would get Nand-X if i hadn't built my own already

All these devices will allow you to (at least temporarily) "unban" your console, correct?

Wow  this thread mehhhh. Anyway Nand X will have solderless dumping in the coming weeks. After you flash there isnt really a reason to open box regardless of what chip you use. You can now flash easily using many methods from the box itself including a new feature in freestyle. So plz lets get educated ppl read the forums!!

P.S Owned and installed a cygnos.  This is way easier install and regardless of what ppl say cygnos isnt a fun install or a pretty 1.Keep it real this is a good product for NEW jtagers and crippled xboxs.
