This is actually what I need. I onl have one exploitable 360 and I don't have an LPT1 port. With a comparable price to other USB SPI flashers, I would take this simply because of the support on Xecuter's forum.

However, I am just one person an I do agree the masses will not go for this product.

You really cannot find an old pc on this planet with a LPT port? Im sorry but im not buying that......

i have one j tag console and i use a laptop for all my flashing needs, including lpt. My jtag is connected to a network port that sits under the harddrive, while this looks cool. im not sure i want to desolder my jtag, solder the quck pads, buy and extra set of cables to retro fit my current install. While it would be clean seems like a lot of work.

I can just pick up a home brew spi or off of dyigadget and it will work with my current install.

Unfortunately I think its nearing the time where the supply of new JTAG'able consoles have dried up and Xecuter may have missed the boat.  Which is why they have priced it accordingly @ £20, the retailer can't be making much at that price!

Why would you have to de-solder your JTAG? keep the JTAG in place and only install the NAND PCB if you want.

Also your current setup seems to be fine. This product wasn't designed for someone like you.

because i would want to use the quick solders for the cleaner install. yea i know it wasnt designed for some one like me. but i would like to flash faster than the lpt. i was going to build the spi my self but i was lazy. so i rather buy a premade but i dont want to spend more than 15.00 on it. LOL

I just dont care that much.

U laughin at ya self here  ?!

I still got my original box alongside my 360 use XBMC all the time on it still. I softmodded 360s but find it pointless now that m$ ban strait away nowadays when on xboxlive. ok for offline games though.

Hacked 360 jtags copied games aside is it worth the hassle to convert a 360 to at the moment, Answer . . .

I never laughed it's called sarcasm , and their is nothing about this mod that is a hassle. I reiterate my first comment XBMC is not the only reason to mod. If people hadn't continued modding when they found out how on the original , XBMC would have never come out. XBMC will never be on the 360 so just forget about it. We will probably see something else pop up that will be able to play media files , it was a few years before XBMC came out on the xbox 1 it wasn't the first thing that happened and some people don't even know about it. The only way it ever would get ported to the 360 is if a group from the scene picked it up and ported it , it is open source so anyone can work on it , but the XBMC team has said they won't be working on a port for it. This is the exact same type of mod that allowed XBMC too run , because it was unsigned. If everyone just said back then well fuck it doesn't have anything to play all my media files with ease i'm not doin that shit , then the scene would have died.  what's wrong with keeping your original for Media and your 360 for kickass games. The only difference at this point as far as capabilities of the 2 systems modded is the amount of software available , i'm just glad most people on the scene don't share your opinion or else it would never move forward.  Xbox Live is not the only thing to do either , with as cheap as it is too get a 360 now just have 2 of them. Did you ever consider too that some people just like too mod , i mean you are a member here you obviously like modding. Why jump in a random thread just to shoot your mouth off about XBMC not being available? answer...

I use this method using xellous and its bar far the fastest method i have seen for 256/512..dumps 256mb in 2 minutes...you only need to backup the first 2mb of nand and xellous handles all the bad blocks for you....the cygnos is also nice as it handles bad blocks but if these nandx and maximus tools are just using nandpro then I would consider this to be a waste of money

actually all the people saying why bother when there are loads of people making homemade spi flashers, help out the little guys and buy from them its sooo much cheaper.....I openly asked in the thread when this thing got its name for anyone selling usb spi flashers to inbox me

guess how many "hard working need of support diy usb spi flasher makers" offered to help me out and sell me one......er none so yeah i started by knocking this thing but you know what after seeing that in actual fact people cant be arsed making them and trying to get a bit of cash why shouldnt i buy one of these i need somthing faster than lpt port and these are actually offering them and not just running around crying that people making these themselves should get the cash, if they cant even be bothered to inbox sombody who says "anybody wanting to make a sale on a usb spi inbox me" they dont deserve the money

who cares if people can make them i prefer to actually recieve it than just hear i sell these....i sell these....i sell these, i inboxed one guy and he turned around and said oh yeah post it to me and ill flash it for you, i can already do that thank you very much just wanted a faster device for doin boxes not paying postage to and from you so you can flash it the same as i can at home i need a god damn usb spi flasher i dont have the resources to make one myself so yeah i bought one of these i cba spending hours and hours doing a bunch of boxes when i can get it done in 20 mins......you cant put a price on your time...well you can but i aint gonna miss £20 to save myself a couple of days  i would have paid anyone that to make me one so your loss if you could have made a bit of money there

Look on the BST section of the forum. There are 2 main sellers. One in the US and one in Europe.

wake me when we can use it on normal 360's. I don't care for buying an ancient-mew-360 off e-bay

Bit more simple than Maximus'. Still not sure which one I'll end up trying.

Nand-X has 7 quick solder-pads and you're good to go.

I wonder if the sellers of Nand-X will refund the purchase price if the buyer finds out their 360 is not hacked when the CB is checked.

On MrModChips they have a notification that all Pre-Order's are final and will not be Refunded for any reason. Not sure though regarding if the Console isn't hackable, but that should be the buyers fault for not checking.

your good to go for read/write only.  Still need those diode's to boot xell/xbr  biggrin.gif  oh and dont forget the optional daughter board they will sell later that is already built into max's nandflasher or and the diode's / resitior option included in nandflasher also.

how is it simplier??  it the same exact install and same exact headers,

Of course they won't refund your money for your own stupidity , but if your CB is not exploitable i am sure someone on here would buy it second hand for a lower price. I will still just be using my own diodes and wires for the Jtag part. The NAND-X looks like it will be less we will see when it finally comes out i may pre-order it if you ever can in the US
