Forgive me for being green on the homebrew side of things with the 360.
Will this allow anyone who has updated their Dash etc to apply homebrew to their Xbox?
In other words, will this work on every Xbox 360?
This is just a device to allow you to read/write your nand. The exploit still hasn't changed, and you will still need to install the jtag hack (diodes + wires) afterwards.
If your console is not exploitable, you could use this device to read/write your nand, for whatever purposes (say you already had your cpu key before you updated for live, and then could encrypt/decrypt the contents of your nand, or you could de-cripple boxes that were banned, as the cpu key is not needed for that, etc).
Ever since the jtag/smc hack has become public, everyone's a tad confused.
JTAG part = where you install the wires + diodes.
SPI = 6/7 wires you solder to read/write the NAND image
Hope that clears things up a bit.
