Hello all, I have a really old launch model (xenon) 360 that I've had for years. The dvd drive is a samsung ts-h943a ms28. I've been having problems with it lately, and since I foolishly updated the dashboard and now I can't jtag it, I figured I would try and fix it up a little. I put a new laser in the dvd drive, but had to calibrate the intensity for it to read backups. The problems I have been having with the dvd drive are that it makes a horrifically loud screeching noise when I first insert a disc, and also the tray has a hard time opening and closing. When I press the eject button sometimes it won't open at all and I have to tap on it a few times. Sometimes when I close the tray it will go in and then pop back open on it's own. I've heard that the magnets on the spindle will cause noises if they are loose, but I checked the magnet when I was replacing the laser and it is still in place so I don't think that's causing the noise. Any ideas as to how I can fix these two problems?
