is it possible?

Got a broken one with a swapped out drive, so when I replaced the drive with a working one, it still doesn't work because of the mismatched keys. Any possible way to get the key off the XBOX 360 itself?

So far the only way to get the DVD key from the motherboard is to jtag it, and it has to have an exploitable dashboard to be able to do that. So the first thing you need to do is see what version the dashboard is in the System Settings. If it's 2.0.7371.0 or lower then you can get into the rest of it, if it's higher there's nothing you can do right now.

It's a tad more than just the jtag..

You have to Dump the NAND, a few times to make sure it's good as well as the only 100% way to tell if it's exploitable.

Flash XBR or Xell to the NAND, several steps in that process before flashing.

Then jtag it (couple diodes and a few wires to be installed) and use XBR/Xell to get your CPU key. You'll need a camera to catch it as it goes by on the TV kinda quick.

Use the CPU key on the original NAND dump to get the DVD key, with 360 Flash Tool.

Flash back the original NAND and rekey/spoof the new drive.

..but all of that is pointless unless the dashboard is a version that can be exploited to begin with. There are quite a few steps to it, but as long as the dashboard version is an exploitable one there is a way to get the DVD key.
