I have just acquired a system today (xenon), has a ben Q drive. The system boots up to the point where it says "xbox 360" then hangs for about 10 seconds then E64.

The system does this with the DVD drive attached or not attached. I was thinking bad flash but the system was never opened before.

Any ideas?!?

I would have to say it was a bad update if it has never been opened.

I was working on one the other day that would boot to the dash then immediately lock up. After speaking with the customer, he said his power went out during an update.

Maybe it is the HDD causing the issue. unplug all storage units first and give it a boot.

Can I write the update to a DVD-R? I have dash 7371 downloaded, can it be a single layer DVD or does it have to be dual layer? Or can it be CD-R
