Please Help Me Update My Drive............

I have a ben q drive with the firm ware for wave 4 games. I tried to flash it with my pc but it didn't work. So I bought the chip set SY-VIA-6421-3S1P RTL but my pc still does not detect my dvd drive? It came with a driver cd................................ Please I need help. If some one can assist me =)
