Why do you need a via card????? Onboard, pci card,VIA,INTEL,NFORCE it all works for lite ons.........And doesnt this device come with a compatible chipset? If it doesnt then this thing is just a piece of crap imo. Ofcourse its a pretty cool device but when they reveil the price im sure my opinion will change. And it shouldn't be hard for a pro modder to setup a system like this. If you mod 360's for living and you have to open your pc case everytime a customer comes then your just a dumbass.

this device doesnt have a chipset... you just hook up a sata cable from your card/port to this.

I dont mod many drives so im not even interested at all but i just dont understand this whole thing. A sata extend cable female to male will also do the job, and your connectivity will do the rest. Anyway this is just my opinion so i just need to stfu and ignore this thread. Have fun with this piece of crap  biggrin.gif

Nope, you still need a VIA card to flash Lite-Ons.

To make this work I'm sure you would need to hook up USB, sata, and a molex plug.  It has a USB hub, esata pass through, and a power adapter so think long and hard about that.

I do believe you are smoking the crack. The article specifically states '5 1/4" PC Bay Complete Control Panel for all Xbox 360 Connectivity Functionality and more !" & "Power Switch For DVD Vendor Mode"

"All" would probably include Lite-ons  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Does the power switch have anything to do with the probe? That is MRA, right? I just dont know how that switch would be connected to the device externally.

Have you ever flashed a 360 drive before? It's not plug and play like this "Control Panel" may make it seem.

I couldn't agree more! You guy really use your pc's molex to power the dvd drives of 360s you mod? Wow!
I use this to power my 360 drives. You guys must be kidding me.

Yo may also try to make one your self with:
http://www.dealextre...ils.dx/sku.9303
http://www.frontx.com/
and just one or two external usb
Maybe a dremel maybe not

Maybe try to configure something up with
http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_cp_ce_1

Or find a blank 3.5" or 5.25" bay slot and bring out your dremel, add 2x sata, 2x usb and 1x molex and if room add some fan controllers

There some alot nice and cheaper but here is an example
http://www.newegg.co...beam-_-11992003

And plus many more options than this most likely over priced pos

i cant believe all the haters.if this seems useless to you, then leave your useless comments out of it.for the ppl  expecting this device to be an auto flasher, get a grip, this is a self serve scene, such are many of the modding scene's for various devices and electronics.if your not willing to put in work to get results, then you dont deserve to be part of the 360 modding community.stick to f/w and playing backups.even the ppl in the scene who have no use for this, should appreciate the fact it will make alot of our lives easier.anyone saying they should include a spi/usb jtag solution on it.i disagree-these are totally diff things, that should be kept seperate.confusion runs rapid as it is.this device was not meant to be anything that blow us away.its meant to be assistance to those who flashes alot of drives--and to that i say
"THANK U TEAM XCECUTER-FOR ALL THE YEARS OF RELIABLE PRODUCTS,SINCE THE FIRST CHIP FOR XBOX1 I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF ALL YOU GUYS DO FOR THE SCENE"

totally irrelevant sidenote-thanks also to tj for the hard work they put into the scene as well smile.gif

I'm waiting for all the Xecuter haters to show up as usual and start complaining about what a useless bit of kit this is.

I approached this thread as a hater based off of the (seemingly useless, uncreative) idea, but decided to give myself a day or so to absorb it, let the idea sink in and make a decent assessment. After a while to think, I conclude its junk, and here's why: unless this comes with some awfully long connector cables for the drive, the 360 drive will just be dangling from the 5.25" slot. Not sure about you, but I have a midsized tower, and thats a long way to the ground.

As it stands right now, I have an eSata and molex power connector slot on the back of my tower that takes up a PCI slot (a neat addon, thanks Gigabyte? or was it Asus?) and so I can connect the drive at near ground level to the Xecuter chip and have it rest comfortably on the ground. Perfect solution for me since I don't have to have my case open to do any mods. Also, completely free. The connector and cords can be purchased for <10USD.

Also, the way I see it, no "professional modder" is going to spend 100USD on a dinky addon when they could go to ebay and spend that money on replacement drives for fixing 360's from customers.

Just my thoughts about it. I'd like to see T-X make cooler modchips and devices rather than prettying up an already perfectly functioning one, adding unnecessary complexity and a chumped-up price. Why not create something cool, like:

- an internal wireless card modchip
- (gasp) a dual-NAND modchip that mounts under the bottom ventilation cover w/ useful USB functionality and a nice switch with color LED
- a fun customizable RF-board replacement
- a remote + modchip combination that taps into the useless RF receiver for neat 360 modifications and effects of some sort?
- CPU/GPU enthusiast replacement heatsinks
- more nice custom case designs and custom faceplates?
- water-cooling CPU/GPU block design that will snugly fit inside 360

Those ideas took 30 seconds to come up with, are absolute money makers, and show way more creativity than the Xecuter CK3-CP.

Id care more about this if I were still regularly installing firmware updates. But as it stands now my banned box should hopefully never have to be flashed again.

Couldn't agree more, TeamX does a helluva job making things A LOT less time consuming and frustrating. They take all the hassle out of modding processes and make things a breeze. TeamX if you're reading this, keep up the good work, and thanks for all the years of kickass tools! It's much appreciated.  beerchug.gif
