just repair the component, if you dare tongue.gif thats super tiny! Im sure RDC will be in here to tell you the part number tongue.gif but as you said rrod, hhhm.....component might not make a difference

Did you try the rrod fix yet? The console should run without it, do the rrod fix or PM RDC as Killer Skittle said.
Also that component next to it is that solder in front of it? if it is you should thing about cleaning it off. Good luck.

It's a Capacitor Network, just 4 Caps side by side is all.

You'll need to get a replacement one from another 360 really. Remove it completely and see if the 3RL goes away, if it does then it was shorted, if it doesn't go away then the 3RL is being caused by something else.

I would def pull out the multimeter here and see if any of those legs are bridged

From the picture, one leg is disconnected. So if they are not shorted, should I get an replacement? Or the machine can work even with that broken one?
