By the time I contacted the vendor [modchip.ca] they wanted me to ship the CK3 back so that they could test it knowing full well that they had a faulty product from the numerous unresolved posts in forums where other were struggling with the same issue

So you just wanted them to ship you out a new one without giving them the old one back? And you never said if you actually returned it or not. Usually when you have a faulty product you RETURN it to get it fixed, or have a new one shipped out to you.

So far, only Logitech will ship out a new product without asking for the old one back. And that's only if it's something under $100.

I kept the defective and never returned it since I didn't care for a replacement and knew that a refund was out of the question.

I don't mean to raise any eyebrows by knocking Team Xecuter - it is my personal opinion that their current products are not worth my hard money.  This is why I decided to use a different product.  My opinion is based on my own experience with 2 x CK3 PRO units.

I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the designing and manufacturing modchips.  My point is that I'm sure if you bought 2 of any other product and both failed almost immediately; you would likely not buy it again and would want to share your experience with others.  It's what the forums are all about after all?

CK# USB not working
I have a CK3 that I bought from Divineo and went to flash a liton the other day and com port 3 wouldn't show up in JF. So after searching the web I found out that the PL-2303 chip is overheating and that is why JF can't see the CK3. So I connected a serial cable and finished the flash. I am running xp sp3 with the ck3 drivers installed. I am using the usb cable that came with the kit and have flashed quite a few other litons with this ck3/usb port before. So I contacted Divineo and they said I only have a 60 day warranty. Is there anything Xecuter can do for me because I am out of warranty with Divineo?

hi,

if you get no luck with a replacement, you can go here and get a new one for next to nothing.

If this were a infomercial you would have been out of time a long time ago.  sleeping.gif
Trying to sound like your not plugging the product and then saying don't get the cheap one by the more expensive pro version.

Dude, I am not gonna spoil your fun and turn this discussion to a personal vendetta by your side. I said my opinion and that's it. smile.gif
