Xecuter LT Switch - Enhanced Version

From team-xecuter.com:

A few days ago we announced that we had designed a simple circuit to enable full firmware read/write on all versions of Liteon drive up to the very latest 93450.

The response was unprecedented - especially from installers who were given generous wholesale discounts by all of our resellers.

After reading an enormous amount of feedback we made some extra changes to the design in time for shipping to resellers next week:
    * Redesigned circuit to give a cleaner filter when switching to Vendor mode. No more read errors !
    * Enlarged solder points to give an easier flow to the Liteon PCB points - Noob friendly !
    * Added Read/Write Mode LED (RED)
    * Added Normal 360 Mode LED (Green)
    * Upgrade the switch to a stronger more robust model
    * Changed location of LED so they can be viewed when Liteon PCB is installed to its case
    * Slight improvement to the PCB shape so it sits firmly and accurately in place when soldering.

Can I use this to mod multiple Lite-on drives?  Or is this a one time deal, like the board needs to be there all the time in order to function?

unless you resolder the trace you cut, it needs to be there at all times.

why would someone want this for anything but the 83850v2 or 93450 as they are the only ones you cant mod without cutting traces.? the previous post said use it for all of them.. does this make it easier or something?

i got a liteon 83850 and sometime the chipset comes up unknown but if i use dosflash it edventually opens up to say marvell or w/e and i was talking to someone who had the same drive but he said he had to cut traces for him to get it to read.. idk, unless u have the v2 or the 934 drives i think its pointless

Might consider picking one up cause of the price and right now I have a 934 I'd like to mess with , but with my luck as soon as I order it guys over at XBH or someone else will find a software method.

This basically makes the current homebrew method very easy to do - You still have to cut traces and still have to solder - this just makes it clean and simple.

Without this switch or the homebrew switch you CANNOT mod an 83850 V2 or 93450 - its as simple as that

if you have a 74850 you can use a probe but to get the key only - with this you can dump the entire firmware - the same with the 83850 V1. There are many situations where you would need a full dump - as far as I can see this isnt sold for the purpose of older version - it just so happens to be able to do them also so I dont see any problem at all.

For just a few bucks - this is perfect. If you don't want to buy it - make your own for a few bucks.

This is a VERY useful solution.

To the installers who keep asking about uninstalling it and then re-using it - all I can say is that you are cheapskates. You are probably charging $50 to mod a console and want to save every dime you can. Just get a big bag of these for $3 a pop and be done with it lol

I bought the first solution two days ago and now they decide to release an improved version. Its not like I need the better version. Its just that I like to get the most out of my hard earned cash. I should have just done it myself, but I was too lazy to go to radioshack and buy the wire and resistors.

Quite a useless device. You still have to cut tracks and solder. This device needs soldering to many vias. Vias need the lacquer scrached off and soldering. The vias are easily damaged by beginners. With the old method with wires and a switch you can scratch the conductors and solder there. They are not so easily damaged as vias.

lalala How is it any faster when the most time consuming part is cutting the trace? Besides that if its meant for beginners I really want to ask the genious who made this product how a beginner is supposed to be assured an easy install with this thing when they fucking have to cut the pcb, it just makes no sense in my mind.

This isn't the people who brought you the Xecuter 3 modchip, these are people who make a bang out of discoveries made by the public and slapping a big sticker on it for profit. The team that made the modchips is long gone btw.

If I understand your question its a ribbon cable on one side of the pcb in one of the pics and a sticker on the pcb in the other thats been on any of the Lite-ons I've seen.

Hello everyone,

I have been away from modding xbox for awhile.

Does this unit allow me to use a different dvd drive without the key with any xbox360?

The last time I was looking no such thing was available with out the original drive key.

Thanks,

Axel
