Flashable or not possible? maybe in the future? just wondering because I'm looking to buy a new system but have had bad luck with consoles getting rrod/e74 on me.

about the solder ball issue...
nothing changed but the flux they were using...the older stuff caused residue
on and in the balls there self..so when the chip heated up...the solderballs tried to push out the bad  residue
causing an incomplete connection...

Typical - not seen any Lite-on except 74850 then get one of these! Used the rear of the PCB to dump the firmware. Mfg date 2009-08-25.
