Hitachi Spoofing Question - Advanced
« on: November 19, 2009, 03:35:00 PM »

Hey currently spoofed a Hitachi v79 as a BenQ VAD6038 64930C, I have the keys from both so that is not a problem I just think I have bricked the Hitachi, Either way I did the spoof using JF, but stupid me forgot to change the keys to the old BenQ (was rushing), so I hooked it up again and even though JF saw it as a BenQ I had to do the Hitachi steps, mode-b, 79 unlock, no problems seeing it again (putting original firmware on not ixtreme) anyways something screwed up again, don't know how checked all the keys and everything but it just plays DVDs, so I tried hooking it back up and windows does not recognize it, mode B goes through but instead of numbers in the hex it pops up with

Drive, answers normal Windows Inquiry 12 0 0 0 24 0
0000: CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD - CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD ................
0010: CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD - CD CD CD CD CD CD CD CD ................
0020: CD CD CD CD ....

Mode-B Done!
Scanning for hardware changes
Found drive A: - Removable.
Found drive C: - Hard Drive.
Found drive D: - Hard Drive.
Found drive E: - Hard Drive.
Found drive F: - CD/DVD.
Found drive G: - Hard Drive.
No Hitachi drives were found!

So yes I am in a pickle, doesn't recognize any drive being attached to my port anymore and doesn't respond to intro/device ID, still changes Status, Ox51, OxD1, Ox80, etc. And it is still in Mode-B, double eject etc., I've put in originals to get it out of mode-b but no luck, Tried NTFS 4 Dos (reading as BenQ) but obviously no luck, before it would recognize it and I would have to pick a driver, did not install one itself (which it normally does), any help would be great otherwise have to toss this drive,
