Jaspers are the only systems they make now, surely it is one.

Looks like the removed the gpu heatsink extension to stop the e74 error!

Well that's just ... awsome.  blink.gif Team HyperX's worst fears (or dare I say, prophecy) realized. They said without a decent amount of market saturation a new revision would likely just show up and here it is. So now what? We all sit back and watch history play itself out again? Now I know that website, whatever it was, with its lo38 tool was a unique situation and with the absurd amount they were gouging they deserved that quick end. I just hope things don't play out in a similar way. We don't need the number of Lite On revisions to start equaling Hitachi revisions, do we?

unless its a 45nm gpu/cpu valhalla, this is the time of year they release new board revs.

They would be on a single die, if the alleged specs are to be believed. Why would there still be 2 clear heatsinks?

I've modded a few 'new' console recently that don't have the secondary GPU heatsink however they still have the moddable 83850C drive.

These consoles weren't the new forza pack so I can't comment on if they can be hacked or not.

I posted pics of this same new heatsink layout over a month ago HERE.

Of course back then we still had the good 83850c (V1) drive that could still be modded.

Basically old news now.

Agreed.  This is not front page worthy.

Got that one at home, new Elite, but with 120Gb HDD. Opened it up and thought "what's that? No heat pipe?" The usual sources didn't have a picture of the MB (I was looking if this one is compatible with the Cygnos 2). Drive unreadable, it's said LiteOn 83850c V2. I hope there is a solution soon. I hear "some specialist" is working on it... which I'm thankful for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
