Connecting 3pin Fan To A 4pin Connector

Whats the easiest way to do this? could i chop the plug off the old one?

some fans can be controlled by the motherboard, which requires more than the GND and power supply wires. If you want, you can chop off the 4 pin to make it 3 pin, but the motherboard may no longer be able to control the speed of the fan. Simply hard wire it in the supply.

they have a 3pin to 4 pin adapter. i know when i ordered my talismoon fan is came with one since the old xenon boards were 4pin but the talismoon was a 3 pin.
