So Im not sure what im doing wrong. The piece isnt broken but maybe its missing a spring or something?

Anyways when I press the button in, it does nothing as its pushing the tab outwards, not inwards. But if I take my fingers behind the button and push it the other way, it causes the bottom to press against the little button.

Sorry this isnt more descriptive as its hard to really describe and I have no pics at the moment. As for hardware I have just a single plastic piece which I snapped onto the DVD on the only way it could go. The plastic kinda rides inside the faceplate and it should hit the bottom on the bottom of the unit. Just seems like it goes the wrong way

Best I can think of is a see-saw. One side goes down, it causes the other to go up. Same idea, but its in and out, and anyways, when I press the button IN, it makes the plastic tab go OUT. argh

Maybe my english sucks ... but yours mate is something else... you confused me than making it clear. If I imagine right (I can't make anything of your words really) your problem is the eject button? And that plastic piece must be the eject button's lever? Anyway, if that plastic piece don't "press" the eject button, it means either you didn't place your mainboard correctly in the case, or you didn't clip this plastic piece on the drive, in the right way.

The sad part is I am, in fact, American. Im just having difficulty explaining this crap.

Anyhow, doesnt the motherboard only go into the case one way? And the lever can snap in only one way? The lever piece isnt broken either.

Here is a picture I found on the net, granted its upside down. Im thinking maybe there is something where the guys fingers are that that lever presses against to give it force to press the little button that the tab goes into.

The eject button hinges against the top half of the case to give the inwards action (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

lol thats my problem. I left the top part off trying to figure this out. OMG
